Bail Information
When arrested in Newport Beach, CA, arrestees will be held at the Newport Beach City Jail for a short period time, and if bail bond is not posted by then, arrestees will be transferred to the Orange County Main Jail (IRC) for their booking process, and will be kept there until their arraignment, unless they are released on Own Recognizance) or bailed out of jail. Newport Beach Police Department does allow bail bonds to be posted directly with them, but it must be done quickly.

IRC booking time is between 6-8hrs. Release time ranges between 4-6 hours. All release times are approximate and subject to change. Bail bonds are allowed to be posted in either facility 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
